Terms of use
Last updated October 9, 2026
Agreement
These terms cover your use of the Brokepacker app and the brokepacker.app website. By using them, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you downloaded Brokepacker from the App Store, Apple’s standard license agreement also applies; if the two conflict, Apple’s agreement wins for the app.
Using Brokepacker
Brokepacker helps you keep track of your own travel spending. You may use it for personal purposes. Please don’t try to break, reverse-engineer, resell or misuse the app or website.
Your data is yours — and so are your backups
Everything you enter stays on your phone and belongs to you. Because we don’t store a copy, we can’t recover your data if your phone is lost, reset or the app is deleted. Making backups (Settings → Your data → Back up everything) and keeping them somewhere safe is your responsibility.
Exchange rates and numbers
Exchange rates come from a third-party provider and can be delayed, approximate or unavailable, and the app keeps the rate that applied when you logged each entry. Card and ATM fees are estimates based on the percentages you enter. Brokepacker is a budgeting aid, not financial, tax or accounting advice — check your bank and card statements for the amounts you actually paid.
No warranty
Brokepacker is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be available, accurate or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data or money, arising from your use of Brokepacker. Our total liability for any claim relating to Brokepacker is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that can’t be limited by law, or rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can’t be waived.
Indemnification
If you use Brokepacker in a way that breaks the law or these terms, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, to the extent the law allows.
Governing law
Brokepacker is run by an individual developer based in Israel. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you live in the European Union or another country whose consumer-protection laws give you the right to bring a claim where you live, nothing here takes that right away.
Changes and questions
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use Brokepacker after that means you accept the updated terms.
